Taking advantage of the accidental in the intaglio process. Splashing, dripping, smudging, anything goes… During the workshop we will experiment with alternative ways of creating textures while looking for the right proportion of control and chaos.

Participants will be introduced to our 2000lb French American Tool Press by internationally renowned master printmaker Misha Goro.  Over three days of art-making immersed in the beauty of our coastal forest sanctuary they will create their very own copper plate etching/ engraving using traditional intaglio techniques.

This program is appropriate for experienced printmakers and novices alike. It will consist of formal instruction, supervised and unsupervised studio time, hiking, swimming, and group dining.

DATES: May 12 at 12 pm – May 14 at 3 pm  – includes accommodation, organic & locally sourced meals, activities, and on-site amenities.

*Optional arrival day on May 11 for wine-tasting & dinner, optional departure date May 14 at additional costs
