Our Artist Residency gathers master artists from around the world to explore what happens when we combine nature, meditation, and conceptual art using sustainable energy & materials.

We invited 16 art professionals to experience the property and artist residency program at Teravana, led by Misha Goro, our first art resident.

Misha Goro

Misha Goro

Resident Artist & Printmaking Chair Advisor

A prominent painter, printmaker, and educator, Misha Goro has lived and worked in Russia, Europe, Israel, and the USA. He received an M.F.A. in printmaking at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Currently, he holds the position of Chairperson of the Graphic Design Department at the American Academy of Art College in Chicago. His works can be found in numerous private and public collections and have received a number of prestigious international awards in Japan, Korea, Europe, China, and the USA. In the role of Master Printmaker he has been invited to work and teach in the world’s best printmaking studios including, Guanlan Print Base in China, East London Printmakers Residency in UK, and Frans Masereel Center Residency in Belgium. He describes his practice as a continuous creative search for raw authenticity in urban environments and human forms that are constantly changing.
